Lutge Gallery presents Allan Lutge’s furniture designs in reclaimed indigenous woods, architectural salvage and Cape antiques. The business has been in operation since 1980, restoring and handcrafting furniture using largely traditional methods. Since only old wood is used in the furniture construction, no two pieces are ever exactly the same. Reclaimed woods used are mainly Oregon pine, yellowwood, stinkwood and teak, with the patina of age carefully preserved. Contrasting ebony and/or bone inlay is a feature of Allan’s work.

Allan makes furniture to order if he is able to, but please note that custom-made items cost approximately 20 -30% more than a similar piece on the showroom floor.
